PCHF is a registered charity organization working exclusively for child heart treatment, capacity building to help improve local paedriatic cardiology, and awareness & advocacy through workshops and campaigns about Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).     PROGRESS DESPITE CHALLENGES OF 2020!   We hope this email finds you in the best of health and spirits. Pakistan Children's Heart Foundation (PCHF) has been working tirelessly in order to achieve our main objective of establishing a state-of-the-art medical facility that provides the highest quality of care for children with heart disease, irrespective of their financial means. We have also successfully provided financial and medical support to 2218 children and their families at a total cost of 807 million PKR.   However, in these extremely strenuous times of COVID-19, we are falling short of our year-end donations target for the year 2020. Along with the construction of our state-of-the-art children's hospital and research institute, what is most concerning is that one of our main objectives, known as Project Danial, has been gravely affected. The aim of this project is to help improve the local paediatric and cardiac surgery infrastructure in Pakistan by inviting teams of senior international doctors to conduct training workshops. This is critical for achieving our overall mission of developing a model institute for the training of healthcare professionals, education of the public at large and promoting research into the causes and management of congenital heart disease (CHD).  According to a study by UNICEF, more children with CHD have also been born during this pandemic, and this deepens our problem even further. We, and more importantly, the children with CHD, vitally require your support.
